Help Preserve the Julia-Ann Historic District
You can help us preserve the Julia-Ann Historic District for future generations.
The Association is a nonprofit 501 C(3) organization. Additionally, by supporting our events you will aid the Association in preserving the unique heritage that the District represents.
Recently, the District raised money to install period lighting throughout the neighborhood, and four gateway arches, and has several restoration and preservation projects planning for the coming months and years.
Beginning in July 2014, the District has embarked on a new project to restore and preserve the historically important Riverview/Cook Cemetery, in which the remains of many of West Virginia’s founding families are buried. The goal for Julia-Ann Square Association in the cemetery restoration is to replace the fencing, repair deteriorated tomb stones, and provide assistance with continual maintenance.
Donations to the preservation effort are much appreciated.
